Guest Speaker - SARAH MURRAY

Sarah Murray was born in Virginia 1951,   She grew up on a farm and connected deeply with nature and animals.   She attended Longwood College, receiving an Associates' degree in Recreational Therapy, and continued on to Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her BA degree in Education.. 

Her first job was at the Camphill School in Glenmore, PA, where she began her work with autistic adults and children.  Fortunately, her school was progressive for the times, and she learned advanced therapeutic methods and became a dedicated teacher.  

In 1979, Sarah visited New England, met her future husband, and moved to Connecticut. She raised a son, now grown and living in CT. and a daughter, also now grown, who lives in NC with her 2 grandchildren. 

After moving to CT, Sarah became an independent contractor, and her  professional life  centered around  providing enrichment and quality of life for adults with autism, co-creating…
