Guest Speaker - Russell Fox

SHEN Therapy, a biofield/chi quantum bodywork, draws on modern physics, physiology and ancient wisdom. SHEN works to release one's internalized emotion-based responses to life's painful events: trauma, abuse, stresses & anxieties, which can damage our minds and bodies, health, mobility and more.  SHEN Therapy can free us to live life fully.  Russell Fox has been a Certified SHEN Therapist and Instructor for more than thirty years.

Russell also has a full career as a musician and conductor.   He received his BM amd MM degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and  has many significant musical achievements on his resume.

As conductor of the famed Southern California Mormon Choir, he toured extensively throughout Southern California, the western United States, New Zealand, Australia and Mexico.  He was Performing Arts Coordinator for the Los Angeles Street Scene Festival, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Los Angeles Choral Artists, Los Angeles Choral Arts Society, the New Los Angeles Chorale, and Music Director of Michael York’s California Youth Theater at Paramount Studios, Hollywood, California.  He was also Director of the internationally broadcast Hollywood Bowl Easter Sunrise Service 1983-2006.  

Russell was Chairman of the Music Department at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, CA, conductor of the UCLA Extension Chorale, chorus master for the Opera Workshops at both Los Angeles City College and East Los Angeles College, and Conductor of the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra.  And in Sedona, AZ, he was Director of Music at Verde Valley School, Music Director/Conductor of Verde Valley Sinfonietta, Board President of the Northern League of Arizona Opera, and a member of the Board of Trustees of both Chamber Music Sedona and Sedona Culture Collaborative.

Russell is currently Director of the newly-established Sedona Conservatory. He also presented acclaimed pre-performance talks at The Met: Live in HD broadcasts.
