Guest Speaker - Haneefa Mateen, PsyD

Haneefa Mateen, PsyD, is a warm and compassionate person who has a wealth of life experiences and knowledge.  She is a natural teacher, a healer and an artist.

Through a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in 1982, Haneefa had a Near-Death Experience which profoundly changed her life.  The aftereffects of her NDE, which were initially distressing, set her on a spiritual path of service.  Like many NDErs, Haneefa also returned from her experience with significant psychic abilities which she further developed through classes at The Church of the Spirit in Chicago.  A doctorate in Clinical Psychology enabled her to establish her life of service, providing culturally specific counseling at a community mental health clinic on the south side of Chicago.

She has published two books: Mothers Love from Beyond: A Healing Journey of Grief and Loss and Decisions Decisions: Getting Answers to Life’s Challenges.  Both are available at Amazon.com
